Classic 5-Day Hanoi, Ninh Binh & Halong Bay

Breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, we will drive for two hours to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam, located in Ninh Binh Province. Today, only remnants of the city’s former glory remain, but the visit is fascinating for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of Vietnam's history. Among the standing structures are the Temple of King Dinh, which features a statue of Emperor Dinh Bo Linh, a hero of independence from China, and the Temple of King Le, built by Le Hoan, the founder of Hanoi. Both monarchs are cherished figures in Vietnam, deeply connected to the nation’s history and origins.

Next, we will visit Mua Caves, also known as the "Dancing Caves," where a spectacular view awaits from the summit. We’ll climb 486 stone steps, and from the top, you can admire the breathtaking beauty of the Tam Coc area, with its expansive green rice fields.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we will continue our journey to Tam Coc, an eco-tourism destination often referred to as the "Halong Bay on land." Here, limestone formations, valleys, and rivers converge to create a stunning and mysterious landscape. The Tam Coc cruise lasts approximately two hours, offering you the chance to soak in the beautiful scenery of Ninh Binh.

In the morning, you will embark on a scenic drive to Halong Bay. Upon arriving at the bustling pier in Halong City, you will board a charming cruise ship, ready to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you set sail through the enchanting landscape of towering limestone karsts rising dramatically from the emerald waters, a delightful lunch will be served on board, allowing you to savor local flavors while soaking in the breathtaking surroundings.

As you glide through the bay, take a moment to appreciate the serene beauty that envelops you. Later, you’ll have the chance to explore a captivating cave, where a knowledgeable guide will reveal the stunning geological formations that tell the story of this magical place. In the afternoon, you can choose to take a refreshing swim, kayak through hidden lagoons, or simply unwind on the sun deck, letting the gentle sea breeze wash over you.

As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, casting a golden hue across the water, you’ll enjoy a sumptuous dinner on the boat, surrounded by the awe-inspiring views of Halong Bay.
